About
I'm Gem, a contemporary artist specialising in reverse glass painting, traditional gilding and handcrafted artworks inspired by the sea, nature and Britain's rich artistic heritage. I’m passionate about preserving historic decorative techniques such as verre églomisé, bringing them into the present through original artworks that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
Every piece I create is made by hand in my studio using carefully chosen materials and time-honoured methods, from delicate hand-painted glass to genuine gold leaf. Whether I'm creating an original artwork or working closely with a client on a bespoke commission, my aim is always the same: to create meaningful pieces with lasting beauty, craftsmanship and a story to tell.
